Anatolian Languages and Cultures Panel I

The “Anatolian Languages and Cultures” panel series within the scope of the Whispers of Extinct Languages III Online Exhibition continue.

The first of the panel series, held on March 21st 2024, with the opening speech. Our panel, moderated by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Sami Öztürk, with speakers Prof. Dr. Hamdi Şahin, Prof. Dr. Ferit Baz and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Erten, took place at the Rezan Has Museum.

In the opening speech, academics specialized in the disciplines of Ancient History, Classical Philology and Archaeology; examined and evaluated ancient literary texts, Ancient Greek and Roman inscriptions, Ancient Greek and Latin epigraphy within the context of Anatolian languages and cultures.

Our panel, which is a continuation of Türkiye’s first epigraphy symposium held at Rezan Has Museum in 2010, is open to all participants and free of charge.
